There is a question that has followed designers, architects, and homeowners for generations: how do you bring the irreplaceable depth and authenticity of natural stone into spaces where stone has never been able to go, curved walls, high rise condos, lightweight architectural details, millwork, and furniture?

Casa Métier has the answer. And it is unlike anything we have carried before.

We are proud to introduce Stone Voilé, a new expression of natural stone that transforms how this ancient material can exist in contemporary architecture and design. Ultra thin. Ultra lightweight. Fully flexible. And completely authentic in its mineral composition, its tactile richness, and its timeless character.

Stone Voilé is not a substitute for stone. It is stone, reimagined to move beyond every limitation that once defined it.

What Is Stone Voilé?

At its core, Stone Voilé is a refined, mineral based flexible stone composite crafted from quartz, mineral powders, and earth based materials. Through precision manufacturing and controlled temperature processes, these natural elements are formed into ultra thin panels that retain every characteristic people love about natural stone, the depth, the texture, the authenticity, while shedding everything that made stone difficult: the weight, the rigidity, the structural demands.

The result is a surface that looks and feels like stone but behaves like nothing the design industry has seen before.

Available panel sizes reach up to 4' × 9'10", with thicknesses ranging from just 2 mm to 13 mm. That means full height wall coverage without requiring structural reinforcement, without sourcing stone slabs in fragmented sections, and without the installation complexity that has made natural stone a premium reserved for the most resource intensive projects.

Stone Voilé changes that equation entirely.

The Collection: Six Expressions of Natural Stone

Stone Voilé will arrive at Casa Métier in six carefully developed patterns, each recreating a distinct material story drawn from the natural environment.

Relief

The Relief panel captures the organic, textured character of rough hewn mineral surfaces, irregular, tactile, and evocative of aged stone plaster. Available in panels of 4' × 9'10" with thickness ranging from 1/16" to 3/16", Relief brings raw, sculptural presence to feature walls, entryways, and architectural niches. It is the choice for spaces that demand visual weight without physical weight.

Linea

Linea speaks a quieter, more linear language. Its precisely striated surface reflects the natural layering of sedimentary stone, calm, horizontal, refined. At 1/16" to 1/8" thickness, Linea works beautifully across expansive walls, behind millwork and cabinetry, and in hospitality environments where understated luxury defines the experience.

Trame, Lime Grey & Ivory

Trame is where Stone Voilé becomes genuinely architectural. Its interlocking woven geometry, inspired by traditional stone basketweave patterns, brings three dimensional depth to any surface. Available in two colorways, Lime Grey and Ivory, Trame suits bedroom feature walls, hotel lobbies, and retail interiors that need texture with a crafted, almost artisanal quality. Thickness ranges from 3/16" to 1/2".

Tundra

Tundra references the wind worn, sparsely marked surfaces of northern stone landscapes. Its open, airy mineral texture reads differently under changing light conditions, appearing almost woven in direct sunlight, and deeply organic in softer ambient settings. A natural fit for large format applications in residential and commercial spaces alike.

Interlace

Offered in a more intimate 2' × 4' format with just 1/8" thickness, Interlace carries a fine, architectural grid pattern inspired by woven stone and mineral textiles. It is precision scaled for furniture wrapping, millwork details, display cases, and decorative ceiling applications where scale matters as much as texture.

Travertine, Ivory & Terra

Perhaps the most immediately recognized stone character in the collection, the Travertine editions bring the iconic veining, void patterns, and layered warmth of classic travertine in a format that was previously impossible to achieve. Ivory Travertine measures 4' × 8' at 3/16" to 1/2" thickness. Terra Travertine, with its warmer, more earthen palette, comes in 4' × 9'6" panels at a feather thin 1/8" ±1/16". Both are suited for interior and exterior walls, facades, and architectural surround details.

Chevron, Ivory

Chevron adds movement to the collection, its angled geometry creating visual energy across flat surfaces. Available in 2' × 5' panels at 1/8" thickness, Chevron works as a statement wall, bathroom surround, or articulated ceiling detail that draws the eye without overwhelming a space.

Why Stone Voilé Is Built for Miami

Miami's design community has a unique set of demands. High rise condominiums in Brickell, Edgewater, and Sunny Isles operate within strict weight limits for wall applications. Renovation and refurbishment projects in Coconut Grove and Coral Gables need to work over existing substrates without full demolition. Hospitality and commercial interiors in South Beach and Wynwood need materials that can install efficiently, perform durably, and look extraordinary under the scrutiny of guests who have experienced the finest interiors in the industry.

Stone Voilé addresses every one of these realities.

Weight: At a fraction of the mass of traditional stone slabs or even standard ceramic tiles, Stone Voilé can be specified in projects where conventional stone would be structurally impossible.

Flexibility: Its mineral based composite construction allows Stone Voilé to conform to curved walls, columns, rounded architectural details, and non planar surfaces, a capability that simply does not exist with rigid stone or tile.

Installation over existing materials: Stone Voilé's reduced thickness makes it the ideal solution for refurbishment projects. It can be applied directly over prepared plasterboard, painted drywall, and architectural substrates, dramatically reducing renovation disruption, demolition costs, and project timelines.

Interior and exterior performance: Stone Voilé is engineered for both environments. In Miami's coastal climate, where humidity, salt air, and intense UV exposure challenge surface materials, Stone Voilé offers durable performance without sacrificing the authentic stone aesthetic.

Versatility across applications: Walls. Ceilings. Furniture. Millwork. Curved surfaces. Architectural feature elements. Stone Voilé moves wherever design requires it.

How Stone Voilé Compares to the Alternatives

Miami designers and homeowners have historically faced a trade off when specifying stone look surfaces. Ceramic and porcelain tile offers durability but is heavy, rigid, and installation intensive. Laminated stone veneer brings flexibility but often relies on plastic polymer backings that limit environmental performance and outdoor use. Traditional solid natural stone delivers authentic beauty but at significant cost, weight, and installation complexity. PVC based panels offer light weight but with limited interior applications and materials that raise legitimate sustainability questions.

Stone Voilé stands apart across every measure:

  • Composition: 100% mineral based, no plastic polymers, no synthetic fillers
  • Weight: Ultra lightweight, significantly lighter than ceramic, porcelain, or natural stone
  • Flexibility: The reason for its flexibility is because we add a mesh to the back allowing the panel to move
  • Installation: Easy, can be applied over existing substrates, reducing renovation costs
  • Interior use: Excellent across all applications
  • Exterior use: Excellent, UV stable, weather resistant mineral composition
  • Material cost: Competitive, significantly lower than solid natural stone projects
  • Eco credentials: 100% eco friendly production cycle; can be crushed and returned to soil at end of life with no environmental harm

That last point matters more in Miami's design community than it did even five years ago. As residential and hospitality developers respond to growing demand for sustainable luxury, Stone Voilé's fully circular production story, from thoughtfully sourced mineral materials to soil restoration at end of life, gives specifiers and clients an authentic sustainability narrative that resonates.

Designed for Residential, Hospitality, Retail, and Commercial Spaces

Stone Voilé was developed for the full scope of interior applications that Casa Métier serves.

Residential: In Miami's luxury single family homes and high rise condominiums, Stone Voilé brings the authenticity of travertine, limestone, and mineral plaster to bedrooms, living areas, entry halls, bathrooms, and outdoor terraces, at a specification weight and complexity that makes it genuinely accessible.

Hospitality: Hotels, restaurants, and resort interiors throughout South Florida depend on materials that perform under daily demands while projecting a sense of refined quality. Stone Voilé's combination of large format coverage, durable mineral composition, and flexible installation makes it a practical and refined choice for lobbies, corridors, dining environments, and guest suite feature walls.

Retail and commercial: Brand environments and commercial interiors increasingly seek materials that tell a story of craftsmanship and material authenticity. Stone Voilé delivers that narrative at a scale and budget that makes it viable across a broad range of commercial projects.

Stone Voilé and the 2026 Miami Design Moment

Miami's design community is moving through a distinct shift right now. The quiet, spare minimalism of recent years is giving way to what design editors are calling "intentional maximalism", spaces that feel layered, textured, and deeply personal. Natural materials are at the center of this movement. Stone. Mineral plaster. Woven textiles. Organic surfaces that carry the visual complexity and warmth that synthetic materials simply cannot replicate.

At the same time, the technical demands of luxury interiors are increasing. Clients expect materials that perform as well as they look. They want surfaces that can transition from interior to exterior, from curved to flat, from residential to hospitality, without compromise.

Stone Voilé sits precisely at the intersection of those demands. It brings the material richness and authenticity that define the current design moment while offering a technical performance profile that outpaces every alternative in its category.

The Surfaces That Inspire Stone Voilé

Stone Voilé draws from the same material vocabulary that has defined great interiors for centuries, the fractured relief of rough quarried stone, the precise linearity of sedimentary strata, the woven geometry of traditional Mediterranean stone craft, and the iconic warmth of travertine that has graced everything from ancient Roman baths to the most coveted contemporary interiors in Miami Beach and Coral Gables.

These are not trends. These are materials with permanence, surfaces that absorb light differently at different hours, that develop quiet depth over time, that feel as considered and specific as anything a designer can bring into a space.

Stone Voilé preserves all of that character. It simply removes the barriers that once made specifying it so difficult.
